Title:  Partner Manager

Job Summary

As a Partner Manager you are responsible for providing high level, sales focused, customer service to a few key Global NetApp partners.  Your relationship building capabilities, and value-add services that you provide to these partners, create new selling opportunities for you in conjunction with the sales team.  Cross-functional teams from NetApp’s Marketing, Systems Engineering and Product Development areas provide support and tools for you to leverage tin order to attain and exceed sales performance goals.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Use relationship management techniques to develop selling opportunities in conjunction with partner organizations.
  • Develop and execute a strategy for growth in specific areas with your assigned partner.
  • Manage and evolve a comprehensive joint alliance plan.
  • Manage staff that work with you in a joint team selling effort.
  • Own and lead the Partner sales cycles for sell to and resell sales motions
  • Liaison with industry leaders and communicate NetApp’s value proposition to them.
  • Work with peer managers throughout the sales organization to help develop strategies and present plans to partners.
  • Attend meetings with Executives and District Manager.
  • Provide, or facilitate training opportunities for your partners to further their understanding of the value of NetApp Products and Professional Services.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; presentation, customer, business and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel within assigned region, working closely with District Managers, Sales Representatives, and channel partners.  Occasional travel outside of region required.
  • A strong understanding of the sales process.
  • High energy with the capability to multi-task in a dynamic, rapidly growing organization.
  • A thorough understanding of go-to-market strategies including account segmentation, products, marketing strategies, etc.
  • Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributed environment.

Education

  • A Degree in Computer Science; or related field is required
  • Specialized knowledge in breadth and/or depth.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 149,600 - 193,600 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
