The Product Manager for Cyber Resilience will be responsible for driving the roadmap for key aspects of the data protection product lines at NetApp.  This role will drive the strategy and direction for the NetApp Data Protection and Security business, including working with development teams, sales, marketing and with industry leading partners in the data protection and security spaces.  The role will consist of Hybrid Cloud and Cloud requirements working with multiple business units inside NetApp. This role presents an excellent opportunity for the right individual to establish themselves as the owner of key elements of NetApp’s data protection solutions. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • PM ownership for cyber resilience & data protection and security products in the portfolio 
  • Driving requirements and timing for the ONTAP roadmap for Zero Trust, Anti Ransome-ware, Encryption, Product hardening & Certification. 
  • Establishing sales and marketing messages that demonstrate NetApp’s leadership and value in these spaces.  
  • Experience managing projects in a diverse and rapidly changing environment. 
  • Experience driving the ongoing management and prioritization of business requirements. 
  • Demonstrated history of engaging and working with senior business leaders. 
  • Direct experience managing a blend of leaders, individual contributors and complex projects. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Support development in creating detailed engineering requirements to the individual feature level 
  • Manage product roadmaps and timelines, and track corresponding development efforts 
  • Work cross-functionally with other NetApp product teams to deliver unified value 
  • Align with product marketing in creating product collateral, demos, and pricing 

 

Job Requirements

  • Experience launching and/or managing a successful product within a storage environment. 
  • Minimum 10 years industry experience, including at least: 5+ years in product management for both on prem and cloud (SaaS or IaaS) products, and 5+ years in product management or customer-facing technical roles for enterprise products 
  • Good understanding of a range of Storage solutions including Back-up and Recovery, Security and Disaster Recovery solutions for enterprise products 
  • Working knowledge of NetApp core ONTAP, Cloud products is a BIG plus 
  • Solid technical understanding of software and product development methodologies  
  • Passion for building products that are both technically solid and that win in the marketplace 

Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related discipline required, or equivalent practical experience.  
  • MBA or equivalent work experience desired. Or equivalent practical experience.
