Job Summary
The successful candidate will oversee component engineering governance, processes, tools, and activities. This role focuses on Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical (EEE) components in NetApp products. The Program Manager will work closely with the Component Engineer to minimize costs, ensure second source availability, and manage obsolescence risks . Responsibilities include identifying risks, proposing mitigation plans and aligning strategies across multiple functional teams (OPM, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Contract Manufacturers).
Job Requirements
- Spearhead and manage projects related to component engineering, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to overall deliverables
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of components, from selection to end-of-life management
- Work with component engineers to ensure all components meet required quality standards and specifications
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with component obsolescence and supply chain disruptions
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliable supply chains and addressing any issues promptly
- Evaluate performance data to make informed judgement about component selection and supplier performance
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration of components into final product
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams, to provide updates on project status and milestone
- Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to enhance component quality
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of program activities for future reference and accountability
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in program management, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Proficiency in data evaluation and risk management
- Project Management Skills needed to successfully plan, execute, and complete a project
- Familiarity with component engineering practices and standard quality requirements an advantage
- Professional written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in English and Microsoft Office Excel
