Job Requirements


  • Lead and participate in technical discussions within the team and with other groups across Business Units associated with evaluating and executing design and development plans for products
  • Willing to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers
  • The individual should have an interest in software, computer architecture, and be adept at systems and kernel software development
  • Experience in operating systems internals, computer architecture, and complex software architecture
  • Strong in the C programming language. OO Design and C++ skills highly valued in project team
  • Experience with performance analysis and design for performance is a plus
  • Experience with scripting or automation with Perl/Python highly desired.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards
  • Experience in software design and development
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
  • A strong understanding of basic to complex concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices
  • Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices
  • Creative approach to problem solving

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
