Title:  Sr. Product Manager

Job Summary

As a senior product manager, you will be responsible for driving the product security requirements for NetApp products. This includes working with product managers across the NetApp product portfolio to define and prioritize security requirements based on market demand and competitive positions. Additionally, the candidate will identify and work with external alliance partners to enable end to end security solutions. As a domain expert in security, the candidate will frequently meet with customers and go-to-market partners to represent NetApp’s security capabilities across the portfolio as well as working closely with teams across NetApp to define marketing messages and positioning, and key customer value differentiators.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead definition of market and product security requirements for NetApp’s product portfolio.
- Provide business case inputs related to secure development practices.
- Work broadly with teams in product management and engineering to influence offerings and abilities, spanning both product security and cross-functional security-related focus areas.
- Work specifically with Technical Directors, product managers and engineering teams to define an executable roadmap of critical security products security and features and alliances.
- Work with Customer Success organization on requirements and development of any security considerations of professional services offerings.
- Work with security ecosystem partners to develop joint solutions and product integrations delivering unique value to joint customers.
- Serve as customer- and market-facing security product management expert.
- Engage with NetApp’s strategic global accounts to provide insight on their security issues and build confidence in NetApp as a supplier and trusted partner. 
- Participate in public forums, both live and digital, on the topic of IT product security technology, ecosystem and operations with a specific focus on securing data within the hybrid cloud, whether at-rest, in-flight or in-use.
- Engage internal technology groups to understand and address both real and perceived data security cloud adoption inhibitors
- Aligning closely with related marketing teams across the company to advance our brand and value-proposition impressions related to security.

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills.
- Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills.
- Demonstrated product management experience for enterprise security products/solutions including building business cases, identifying market opportunities and growing product revenues.
- Excellent understanding of industry best practices for Secure Software Development Lifecycle processes.
- Strong knowledge within security domain including governance, risk and compliance, malware, ransomware, endpoint protection, digital loss prevention, encryption, etc.
- Understanding of FIPS 140-2, Common Criteria, PCI DSS, ISO 27000 and other security assurance requirements.
-Ability to work collaboratively with functional peers across functions.
- Understanding of storage technologies and competitive offerings in the marketplace strongly preferred. 
- Ability to convey information clearly and analysis as needed to help customer make buying decisions. 
- An excellent understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
- Demonstrated experience working with Marketing and Sales organizations.
- Prior experience with developing budgets and controlling costs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex unstructured tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to travel as required to industry events and customer sites.

-Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance and TS/SCI with Full Scope is desirable


A minimum of 15 years of experience in product development or product management is required.
- An MBA and/or Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience is required. 
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, critical projects is required.
- Five or more years in product management building enterprise security products whether stand-alone products or software-based services.
- A breadth of experience influencing without authority in a range of software and hardware engineering areas where security needs needed to triumph over release schedules.
- Solution delivery responsibilities spanning HW, SW, and custom development 
- Training and experience with the press and analysts related to security risks and proactive remediation and the roles of people, processes, and technology coming together
-Must possess experience in the U.S. Government, DoD, Intelligence, and Industrial Security management
