Job Summary

NetApp is looking for a talented Software Engineer that thrives at the system level as part of a high-performance team tasked with finding creative solutions to the most profound data challenges customers face. Wielding cutting-edge technologies, you will help create new products and services that bring NetApp’s data fabric to every application, anywhere.

You are primarily responsible for the architecture, design, development, delivery, and support of everything that we bring to market. No problem is beneath you, and you are always willing to learn and take on new challenges.

As a technical lead you will mentor other engineers and collaborate closely with other teams and functions across the company and upstream in open source communities as well. You have an established track record of designing and delivering large, complex systems with minimal supervision.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 + years of experience
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills, and a sense of ownership and drive
  • Broad experience a plus

You'll also have extensive experience with:

  • Programming in Go (or other system-level languages)
  • Programming in Python (or other high-level language)
  • Container based technologies, especially Kubernetes
  • Linux or other Unix-like Operating Systems
  • Databases and storage systems with advanced data management capabilities
  • REST API design and implementation
  • CI build systems or automated testing

 

Education

B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Requires 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
