Job Summary:
The Contract Manager position is essential to ensuring seamless legal and procurement operations within NetApp. While acting as the gatekeeper for legal matters, you will help manage our contracting process by negotiating a variety of technology, partner, and sponsorship agreements. You will serve as a crucial liaison between the legal and procurement teams, ensuring compliance, handling escalations, and maintaining a positive client interaction experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides independent evaluation, review and negotiation of contract terms and conditions
- Drafts, negotiates, and administers complex business contracts for NetApp’s acquisition of goods and services under the direction and guidance of the NetApp legal team
- Supports the development of standardized contracting practices across the NetApp Global Procurement organization
- Supports the development of internal contracts training and contracts review resources for the NetApp Global Procurement organization
- Works with the NetApp Global Procurement organization to ensure suitable terms and conditions are captured and fulfill the scope of the engagement while safeguarding the mission, policies and procedures of the NetApp Global Procurement organization
- Collaborates with NetApp Global Procurement staff to develop and use metrics in monitoring contract review to ensure effective and timely processing of contracts
- Ensures the highest levels of client service, quality of agreements and turnaround times
- Participates in professional development activities and stays current with industry standards to maintain and expand areas of expertise
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience supporting procurement organizations
- Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing technology contracts, particularly within SaaS, software, and hardware contexts
- Background in data privacy, information security agreements, and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with vendors and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, providing timely and effective legal support
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $94K - $115K. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
