Job Summary

As an Engineering Program Manager you will plan, lead, and manage infrastructure and critical engineering workflow service programs in NetApp’s Shared Engineering Environments, within Engineering and Cloud Operations. This is a challenging position in a fast paced environment, with the opportunity to work collaboratively with ONTAP product development, test and quality assurance, and infrastructure teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide a leadership role for core projects involving teams developing, maintaining, and enhancing NetApp’s Build Services: tools, architecture, and processes.
  • Lead other related projects in the following spaces: DevOps, Atlassian tools, hardware refreshes, containerization, and service migrations.
  • Demonstrate leadership and vision in determining and driving both tactical and strategic planning and resource management.
  • Ensure that projects adhere to best practices; suggest and initiate process improvements as needed.

Position is located at our RTP, NC site and not budgeted for relocation.

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.


  • Work effectively with Staff to Vice President-level personnel.
  • Lead cross-functional teams both internally and with external partners.
  • Set priorities, manage workloads, and drive results independently. The tasks this individual is responsible for are often unstructured and require new perspectives and creative approaches.

Education & Experience:

  • PMP certification and demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex projects.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience in data center systems or solutions.
  • Preferred:
    • Background in software development and delivery
    • Familiarity with Agile Methodology
    • Experience with Atlassian tool suite
