Job Summary

The Command Center Operations group is part of NetApp’s IT function and is responsible for a wide range of foundational and infrastructure technical expertise. As a part of a team, you will help to ensure that team objectives and operational goals are met.  Essential functions:

  • Provide specific technology operations support during assigned shift.
  • Properly update all tickets using established documentation standards to ensure issues are well documented, stakeholders are informed, and issues are closed.
  • Follow all operational processes incident and problem management, hardware decommissioning, and escalations. 
  • Strictly adhere to all Change Control processes and rules to prevent unexpected outages.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and client management.
  • Reporting to customers and management on status, resources needs, and projected outcomes.
Job Requirements
  • Good understanding and knowledge of enterprise NetApp storage technologies.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with FAS products, Data OnTap and SAN/NAS solutions listed below
    • Products/Tools: FAS, AFF, E-Series, and SolidFire hardware. OnCommand, SmartSolve, Config Advisor, DFM ONTAP Select, Cloud Volumes, StorageGRID, etc.
    • OS: ONTAP, SANtricity, Linux
    • SAN/NAS Technologies: iSCSI, FCP, Exports, LUN mappings, FTP, Vol creation, Aggregate expansion, SnapMirror troubleshooting, Snapshot creation/retention/restoration/troubleshooting.
  • At least one-year experience in a UNIX environment with experience in scripting.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networks.

Manage online data backups and the overall execution of retention policies

Education
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience is required; 3 to 5 years of experience is preferred.
  • An associate’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other related field is required; or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
