Job Summary

As the Change Communications Intern, you will  partner closely with the HR Change Management team on a variety of internal transformation initiatives.

 

The candidate will set up communications plans and draft communications for specific programs and stakeholder groups.

 

He/she will need to have a strong understanding of how to build a narrative, craft a story, and have the ability to interweave key messages and storylines throughout multiple projects.

 

Additionally, the candidate will need to develop communication PPT slides for different stakeholder groups (executive, manager, employee, etc).

 

Lastly, the candidate with partner with the Change Management team to ensure the integration of key communications, milestones, and change plans amongst multiple projects.

 

This role is a great opportunity for graduate students in PR or Communications to gain exposure not only to how internal communications works within an HR organization but to the fields of change and project management and the integral role communications plays in internal corporate transformation initiatives.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent communication plans within a program portfolio
  • Draft and edit employee and manager communications (emails, Q&As, video scripts, etc.) specific to HR transformation initiatives
  • Create internal communications plans
  • Help shape communications narrative and align to stakeholder audiences

This position may also require the intern to manage major change milestones with multiple transformation projects.  Ability to track projects, major milestones, and set up project plans would be a plus.

Education

Requirements:

  • Major in Communications, English, or similar field OR experience in Public Relations or Internal Communications
  • Currently in a Graduate Program
  • Exceptional communication, writing and editing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage simultaneous programs in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in MS Office (PPT design, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Content creation skills across multiple platforms (email, video, blogs, etc.) a plus  
  • Ability to work independently and in team environment
