Job Summary

As a Site Reliability Engineer for the ActiveIQ Team in, you have an opportunity to ensure highest degree of service reliability across the ActiveIQ suite of applications.

Every day, you will diagnose and solve interesting technical problems, ensuring 99.999 availability of hundreds of microservices. Our service is relied on by some of the leading global names in Banking and Financial Services, Telecom, IoT and Tech companies that interact with millions of end users.

  • Provide expert operational support to our highly diverse environment both on-prem and on cloud, using technologies such as Linux (Debian), Docker, and languages including Java, Python, and bash.
  • Actively participate in Weekly release activities, Data Reconciliation and Audit activities.
  • Undertake complex cluster operations such as migrations, upgrades, and maintenance on our fleet.
  • Ensure issues are triaged, prioritized, assigned, tracked, and closured using Service now in the defined SLA’s.
  • Liaise with different application engineers in resolving interesting issues related to Apache Spark, Hive, Dremio, Kubernetes and different SQL/No SQL data stores.
  • Develop and continually improve our suite of internal automation tools, applications, and processes.

Job Requirements

  • We're looking for smart engineers with exceptional communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for IT and learning new things. We expect you to be, or quickly become proficient in a range of the technologies we use. 

  • 6 – 8 years of relevant experience including application support of highly complex data processing systems. Ideally should already have experience diagnosing various issues with processing systems like Apache Spark, also hands-on in Kubernetes is a plus.

  • Programming skills in Java/J2EE, Java Script, Angular JS, XML, Web services, SOAP, Restful API and source control using Git.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Linux and be comfortable working from the command line is essential

  • Knowledge of CI/CD, AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes/Docker experience, Microservices architecture

  • Good to have skills- MongoDB, Cassandra, MySQL, Oracle, Weblogic App server, Apache HTTP

  • 24X7 Production support and should be able take up on-call on rotational basis

  • Knowledge on the ticketing tools and should be well aware about the ITL Process

Education

A Bachelor of Science Degree in IT or Computer Science, a master’s degree; or equivalent experience is required.

Colorado Residents Only: If the Company determines this role will be performed in Colorado, the starting salary for this position is  (.9 compa*).
