Job Summary

Provides leadership for those involved in the support and optimization of support processes for integration, database, and platform technology and systems functions supporting company business processes and applications. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis, support and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of software and database management. Provides direction for the effort required to protect the company’s data, tools and information systems. Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility. Usually requires subject matter knowledge of user group for practical application of system characteristics. Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change and Release management are extremely important in this role.

- Excellent knowledge of product lifecycle, tools, processes, and operations planning.

- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience

- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment; flexibility to work extended hours and weekends if needed; occasional travel required.

- Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices, and NetApp's systems and architecture.

- Experience with developing budgets and predicting project costs.

- This position is responsible for supervising/managing a few focused tasks within a function.

- The focus of this role is tactical.

- This individual will apply attained experience and knowledge to address issues that are limited in scope, where their focus is on identifying standard problems and finding solutions.

Interaction:

- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Sr. Director level employees mainly within own function, however, will also sometimes work with employees in other functions.

Education

BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience. 4+ years in a technical support or applications development role. Knowledge of ITIL support processes and ITSM operational concepts are required.
