Job Summary

As the Manager, StorageGRID Technical Marketing you will lead a team of high performing TMEs (Technical Marketing Engineers) creating the content, training and joint solutions that continue to drive the growth of NetApp StorageGRID.  You will translate new product features, solution partner and workload priorities into the materials that will enable our field and partners to deliver object storage solutions to market.  You must be extremely results driven, customer focused, have strong skills in managing technical content creation and delivery, and be adept at building internal relationships and external partnerships. 
Essential Functions:
•    Provide support and leadership to a team of TMEs who develop, test and document object storage solutions and collateral in collaboration with the solutions partners (ISVs), product managers and marketeers.
•    Lead the development of StorageGRID technical marketing materials for specific product and solution areas: 
o    Product data sheets
o    Customer and field-facing presentation materials
o    Performance and sizing guidance
o    Technical training materials (consumed by field and channel)
•    Assist Product Management with industry analyst and market research efforts, monitor competitive activity, and identify field and channel technical enablement requirements.. 
•    Interact with engineering, product management and sales to enhance existing products or product line(s). 
•    Select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. 
•    Develop the functional annual budget collaboratively with senior management.

•    Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas. 
•    Marketing experience in the technology industry a plus.
•    Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.

Responsibility and Interaction:

•    Responsibility  
o    This position is responsible for planning, prioritizing and day-to-day management  many tasks for department of geographically distributed TMEs.
o    The focus of this role is on business and its implication.
o    The potential impact of decisions made by this individual has significant operational or financial impact.
o    This individual will apply attained experience and knowledge to address issues that are diverse in scope, and resolve problems through short- and mid-term planning.

•    Interaction: 
o    This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees and employees within and outside of their function and organization.  
o    Utilizes people skills and available people manager tools to positively impact the development of individuals within their role and career.
o    This individual must demonstrate favorable results through providing leadership to function and to staff.


•    A minimum of 8 years of experience as an individual contributor and a 1 - 5 years as a people manager is required. 
•    A Bachelor of Arts of Sciences Degree required, or equivalent experience.
•    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, projects is required.
