Job Summary

NetApp OSSG (ONTAP Software & Storage group) product management group is NetApp's core group responsible for building, managing and launching NetApp’s flagship products.

 

The OSSG product group is increasingly focused on operating as a product thought leader, driving innovation across NetApp’s hybrid cloud strategy (Public, Private & On Prem). The OSSG team builds the product foundation behind NetApp’s flagship product ONTAP. We have a unique opportunity to drive this transformational journey at NetApp and execute on our CORE business strategy.

 

The Product Manager - ONTAP Core is responsible for NetApp's ONTAP software offerings with in-depth analysis of market position to create and expand the portfolio of products and solution alternatives. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, this individual will work closely with Technical Marketing, Engineering, Sales and Product Marketing. As an evangelist of ONTAP, the individual will work with sales, customers and partners to drive awareness and adoption of key values.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of enterprise storage, including various storage protocols and technologies in SAN, NAS and Data Protection is required
  • Knowledge of NetApp's ONTAP features and capabiliteis
  • Display strong communication, organization, leadership, and execution skills
  • Ability to consolidate information from a variety of resources, including (but not limited to) usage data, customer feedback, and market analysis, to inform product strategy and roadmaps
  • Understand NetApp’s strategic and competitive position in the data management and storage industry, delivering features that are aligned with organization and company objectives
  • Display flexibility and the ability to adjust priorities quickly based on new information

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6 years and a Master's degree or A PhD with 3 years experience or Equivalent experience.

3-5 years of experience as a Product Manager preferred, with proven success in product planning and delivery
