Job Summary

NetApp is looking for a talented Product Owner that thrives as part of a high-performance team tasked with finding creative solutions to the most profound data challenges customers face. Wielding cutting-edge technologies, you will help create new products and services that bring NetApp’s data fabric to every application, anywhere.

 

You are responsible for the development, delivery, and support of everything that we bring to market. No problem is too large or beneath you, and you are always willing to learn and take on new challenges.

 

We are developing innovative and unique solutions to assist our customers in solving the challenge of persistent storage consumption for container technology. We work closely with upstream communities to provide code and leadership in defining the persistent storage strategy in these areas.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements;

Extensive understanding of Agile Software Development and best practices.

Be the bridge between Product Management and Product Development - translate business and customer requirements into technical requirements that can be provided to, and understood by, the development team.

Keep engineering team fed with high value work - generate, prioritize, and maintain backlog to meet business commitments and timelines, balancing roadmap items, upstream community needs, and internal engineering activities.

Have an open door policy to meet with sprint team members at any time to explain, refine, and discuss tasks, as well as be available for acceptance meetings.

Write/refine user stories with team, including defining the acceptance criteria, and working with team to size stories.

Ability to calculate, understand, and justify team’s metrics, velocity, and capacity plan.

Collaborate with Architects, other Product Owners, Product Managers, and Stakeholders to define and execute product vision, coordinate dependencies, and optimize program execution.

 

Preferred Qualifications & Education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the open-source community
  • Experience working on Kubernetes-related project
  • Understanding of data storage and data management technologies
  • Understanding of cloud services, SaaS, or cloud native/container-based environments
  • Demonstrated passion for innovation and/or entrepreneurship
  • Experience with Jira would be a plus
  • Product Owner certification is a plus

B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
