Job Summary:

The Professional Services Engineer (PSE) in our Global Services Solution Center provides post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation, migration, and maintenance of company products. This individual may be involved in implementing detailed customer installation requirements as well as ensuring that the client’s needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification. The PSE provides follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.  

 

This opportunity is located in Raleigh/Durham (RTP), NC. Our current work arrangement is a hybrid model, with a multiple-day in-office requirement.

Job Requirements:

  • Requires a high-level understanding of the NetApp portfolio of products and advanced knowledge of ONTAP
  • An advanced level knowledge of several migration-related products/technologies such as 7MTT, Dobi Migrate, Cirrus Data, DTA, FLI, Cloud-Sync and secure copy/Storage-X to successfully complete configuration, execution, and troubleshooting of migration jobs
  • Knowledge of SnapMirror, possessing the ability to manually create jobs and manage them
  • Possess the ability to work at the direction of Project Managers, as well as often self-manage engagements to ensure customer engagement
  • Possess awareness of customer architecture and how it affects migration planning and execution 
  • Proficient with host base migration methodology such as LVM, ASM, DAG, Storage-V-Motion 
  • Articulate in the end-to-end Migration solutions, with an emphasis on being customer-centric and focused 
  • Capable of training customers in ad-hoc knowledge transfer as well as organized demonstrations of our methodologies 
  • Knowledge of StorageGrid and NetApp Cloud Volumes is desirable
  • Able to lead and delegate different functions within a project to ensure customer success
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and managers in a team environment to share best practices to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards
  • Ability to work well with customers’ technical representatives under a variety of circumstances to best understand and meet customer expectations
  • Flexibility to work with global customers on their available time zones

Education/Experience

  • A minimum of 8+ years of related experience, as outlined above, is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business concentration is preferred, but not required.

 

 

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $125,000-$163,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
