We are looking for an energetic, positive, and engaging training instructor to deliver technical content in our Sales, Support and Services (S3) Academy. The Academy is a 2-year global development program for Early in Career talent who aspire to become the next generation of NetApp leaders, sales professionals, and technical pioneers. The S3 Academy focuses on supporting top talent in reaching their full potential through a 90-day training and education program which immerses participants in the software, systems and cloud technologies that are shaping the world today. 

As a training instructor, you will have fun delivering technical course content and supporting materials to the S3 Academy audience using a variety of delivery methods. Supporting the Early in Career audience is a unique challenge as many participants have little experience working in the IT industry – so the approach needs to be inclusive of all backgrounds. Courses taught include software and hardware fundamentals, along with product and solution essentials, with the goal of equipping participants with foundational insights that lead to a desire to learn more. To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated self-starter and self-learner with a commitment to service. Your patience, passion, and resilience are vital elements in being an impactful teacher, trainer, and facilitator supporting this program.

Job Requirements

  • Clearly conveys information and ideas through verbal and written communication to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and ensures understanding and retention.Experience in education, including developing course materials.
  • Ability to manage, implement, and track projects in a deadline driven environment.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork ethic.
  • Knowledge of the storage industry.
  • A strong stage presence and ability to manage a classroom of adult learners.•Ability to coach and influence others

Education

  • Experience in technical sales, engineering, or education. 
  • Demonstrated aptitude and ability to grasp technical concepts, including various IT concepts (e.g. Compute, Storage, Networking, Database, Security)  

  • Education degree, or technical degree (i.e. Computer Science, Information Systems), or teacher licensure or relevant work experience. 

  • Improv experience and knowledge of the storage industry is a bonus.
