Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, this position is a key role on an accounting team with primary responsibilities for critical accounting accruals and estimates, and related accounting policies and processes. This position will also support the External Reporting and Technical Accounting team in providing oversight of company-wide accounting policies, the interpretation and application of US GAAP as it relates to certain activities, and, when applicable, the implementation of new accounting standards.

Job Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with the migration of decentralized accounting activities to the RTP location
  • Prepare critical accounting accruals and estimates. Maintain related controls and policies and coordinate as needed with our auditors
  • Streamline and simplify existing accounting processes and procedures
  • Support Controllership compliance activities 
  • Lead or participate in special projects as needed
  • Support the External Reporting & Technical Accounting team with the following activities as needed: 
    • Preparation of earnings releases, 10-Qs and 10-Ks 
    • Providing accounting guidance to finance teams, and writing technical memos, to ensure business transactions and material transactions are properly recorded and disclosed
    • Monitoring emerging accounting standards and assisting with their implementation
    • Assisting with drafting company-wide accounting policies


Required Skills:

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills; effective prioritization of deadline-driven activities
  • Ability to effectively research, interpret and document GAAP conclusions and desktop procedures for critical accounting activities
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong collaboration skills



  • 2+ years of experience at a public accounting firm
  • Experience with the High-Tech Industry helpful
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
