Job Summary

This Sr. Financial Analyst position will provide front line business partnership as well as financial modeling, analysis, and planning support to NetApp's Renewals organization and Renewals Sales leadership. You will be responsible for collaborating with the business on key Renewals and Support/Maintenance financial modeling, metrics, market and renewal opportunity analysis, decision making, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and business reviews. 
 

Essential Functions

•  Responsible for financial support and related business partnering to enable:
        o Business Partnership – FPA partnership to Renewals Customer Success VP to include full business financial ownership, deal support, financial metrics and reporting to include business review packages.
        o Sales Analysis – Analysis and expertise into market and install base sales opportunities for Support Renewals products.
        o Weekly and Monthly Forecasting – Pipeline, Opportunity, and Sales Forecast inspection
        o Monthly Forecasting for Headcount and operating expenses. Ongoing headcount and backfill tracking and approvals.
        o Monthly and Quarterly Close including J/E overview, commissions accounting, account reconciliations, leader reviews and packages
        o Financial and operational reporting including UFR & IQRR metrics. ROI for investment requests, headcount, & install base modeling.
•  Develop new planning model for both current and long-term planning, including Monthly and Quarterly Business Review metrics, install base forecasting, transaction, variable compensation and spend forecasting.
•  Work with cross-functional business partners to identify efficiencies and cost saving opportunities, ensure accuracy of business assumptions, and provide financial modeling for forecasting and report actual savings of initiatives.
•  Role requires someone with a highly analytical skillset, prior experience with Renewals and/or Support/maintenance Sales financial support. Additionally, ability to merge and analyze large datasets from various sources, someone who thinks outside of the box and identifies issues and solutions through the analysis of data and partnering with business, works proactivity to recognize issues and provide solutions.
•  Role requires someone with a strong personality and ability to drive collaboration with Renewals leadership. Prior experience with Support Renewals and/or Sales finance required. Ability to review and interpret key financial metrics around support renewals and articulate to leadership. High visibility role that will require close partnership with VP of Renewals. 

This role reports to Sr Manager of Customer Success for Support Revenue and Renewals 

Job Requirements

•  Prior experience with Support Renewals and/or Sales finance 
•  Ability to analyze and interpret renewal sales and revenue trends.
•  Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with Staff to Sr VP level employees within Renewals, Finance, across functions and with external parties.
•  Strong analytical skills, ability to create and advise on financial models using Excel or other analytical tools, ability to create actionable insights from data analysis.
•  Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly with Excel; database and statistical skills a plus
•  Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization and across various geographies and time zones. 
•  Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
•  Ability to follow standard accounting and finance practices, and departmental procedures and processes.  General knowledge of GAAP and standard cost accounting.
•  The tasks this individual is responsible for are often unstructured and the issues addressed are less defined requiring new perspectives and creative approaches.
•  This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope requiring in-depth evaluation.
•  Limited supervision and direction are provided, as this individual can operate and drive results and set priorities independently. 
 

Education

Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent experience.

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is USD 154.000 - USD 163.000. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law.  In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
