Job Summary

Job Summary:

 

As a Developer and Software Architect working on Converged System Advisor (CSA) and other management applications, you will be responsible for the architecture, high level design and development of software tools used by NetApp and customers.

 

You will be part of a highly skilled technical team and working closely with the fellow architects and team of software developers responsible for the design, development and deployment of tools used by our internal sales team, partners and customers. You will focus on providing technical architecture, Proof of concepts for new product development as well as enhancements to existing products.

This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, driven to produce results and demonstrates the ability to take a cross-team leadership role.

 

 

Architecture:

  • Must Have’s
    • Solid experience in defining & realizing end-to-end software architecture for complex, enterprise, multi tiered, multi layered, web and desktop based applications.
    • Should be well versed with in application integration strategy/approaches at different application layers/tiers.
    • Very good experience in coming up with infrastructure architecture(OS, platforms, hardware, storage, DR etc). 
    • Should play a major role in technology selections, Proof of concepts evaluations and decisions for User interface, Application stack, databases, other libraries and frameworks.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Technical Must Have’s:
    • Very good understanding of Web Technologies – JavaScript, HTML, CSS with working knowledge of rich client frameworks such as AngularJS.
    • Hands on Python application development experience with good understanding of object oriented programing concepts.
    • Experience working using multiple technologies.
    • Nice to Have’s:
      • Experience on Web Services / XML / JSON & standard data exchange formats is a must
      • Working knowledge on Web Server, Linux, Databases, Containers and Microservices
      • Experience with storage technologies and/or shared infrastructure environments
  • Process and other skills:
    • Must Have’s:
      • Very good understanding of development methodologies like Agile Scrum/Scaled Agile (SAFe)
      • Must have competency and proven track record of delivering complex technical projects within a team environment of other engineers, meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.

 

Education

Responsibility 

  • Define and deliver highly scalable, high performing, available, reliable, secure and reusable architecture for all the applications
  • Come up with technology selections based on the team skills and reusability of earlier code base, drive the design and guide the implementation of new architecture.
  • Define schema/object model design and high level design for the software based on Python technologies.
  • Guide the infrastructure team on scalable, high performing and high availability application.
  • Define integration approaches at different application layers and tiers for information exchange with other sub systems/ tools.
  • Contributes, explicitly or by example, to the standards and processes used by NetApp for product development.
  • Interaction
  • Works frequently with suppliers, partners or other external parties in product design efforts.
  • Work cross geography and willing to travel 10 - 20%.
  • This individual must work effectively with staff to vice-president level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties.
  • Limited supervision is provided, as this individual can operate, drive results, and set priorities independently. .

Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
