Job Summary

Manages the activities of the America’s Area VP and finance team that supports the America’s Enterprise and Commercial Field Sales Leadership team. Influences the America’s Area Sales multi-year business plan and translates into a supporting investment framework that prioritizes the allocations of the resources against key strategic goals. Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control, providing relevant financial information and analytics to area leadership team informed on the progress towards the AOP targets.

Job Requirements

Strategic Business partnering 
Primary finance strategic business partner to the Americas AREA VP and their leadership team, covering Regional and District Sales Teams.
Influences and executes key GTM strategies, including  influencing comp design, comp policies, channel partner strategy, field marketing strategy, sales coverage models, account and territory planning
This position is responsible for directing and controlling activities at the most senior level within the function and designated geographic area. 
Proactively collaborates with Sales Operations team to understand sales systems, tools, processes and supporting work streams to improve the quality of source data on pipeline opportunities to improved forecast accuracy and business predictability.   Work with Sales Operations on ways to drive improved performance in the business.
Performance Monitoring & Control
Responsible to prepare Monthly AREA analytical insights  that help leadership understand the Bookings, Product Portfolio and OPEX forecast, business drivers and accounts performance. Highlight key areas of improvements, underline areas of strength and recommend actions.
Responsible for monitoring and interpreting bookings performance and profitability for the Districts and Regions within the Sales Area, make recommendations for improvements and emphasize strengths. Project manage remediation plans to achieve AOP goals. 
Accountable for allocating and managing the assigned AREA OPEX budget and GARD resourcing model
Accountable for AOP bookings and work closely with GEO FP&A analyst on forecasting process for their AREA ensuring that the business is tracking in accordance with the AREA Sales AOP.
In case of material overspend in Opex, provide recommendations how to avoid further increase and how to get back to target.
Responsible for supporting Sales Leadership setting up business justification for investment plans (including fcPVR, Opex investments, Capex investments and headcount investments
Area Controller to drive improved profitability and product mix, using WECFO standards for Price/Mix/Volume analytics for Area. This could include product mix, region mix, volume definitions, and average selling price (ASP).

Support in the roll-out, training and deployment of standard business metrics and profitability drivers, such as Average Selling Price (ASP), RPT/Discounting, Pipeline growth, , On-time Renewals, Sales Capacity, Product Portfolio and Product Platforms.

Revenue Enablement & Deal Support
Managing the Revenue enablement and deals in their AREA to maximise NetApp revenue and growth opportunity whilst clearly define the risks and non-standard terms


Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.

Expertise in the following areas: 
Strategic Accounting and Finance- Financial/Business Planning and Analysis- Internal/IT Audit- Internal/External Reporting Support- GAAP, FASB, SOP, SEC- Financial Systems/ERP Consulting
