Job Summary: 

NetApp is seeking a Senior Manager to join the Engineering & Cloud Operations team. This role is critical to developing, deploying and maintaining the internal engineering data center service across the Global NetApp Engineering infrastructure. The Engineering & Cloud Operations team supports a diverse set of infrastructure and services distributed across a hybrid cloud environment to provide NetApp Product feedback in a critical service environment.  As a Senior Manager you will driving the Datacenter Operations, providing strong leadership to deliver seamless Critical Data Center Services to meet or exceed service levels.

Job Functions

Build and guide a global operations teams, implement practices, and tools to proactively manage a diverse fleet of services distributed across the globe. Maintain incident resolution and service uptime at or above targeted SLAs.  Be a critical driver assuring rapid, coordinated, and effective responses to issues as they arise.  Address internal customer escalations and service disruptions for a continuously available set of services.  Build cross functional relationships and influence policies / procedures to improve global data center operations.  Provide thought leadership on innovative solutions based on new and emerging technologies. Rapidly integrate new solutions that support changes in business landscape.  Support M&A activity integrating new environments and removing barriers for cross-functional development. Conduct regular CAPEX/OPEX budget planning to prioritize infrastructure needs with available funding. Secure intellectual property for hybrid-cloud CI/CD workflows. Applying layered enterprise security strategies to prevent, detect and respond to threats. Deploy new  pre-release data management solutions and influencing solution roadmaps.  Collaborate with product management teams to assess software readiness and usability. Support company-wide transformation efforts. Conduct datacenter migration projects that reduce footprint / cost while enhancing DR capabilities.  Attract a highly skilled and diversified workforce evolving to meet the needs of a world-class organization. Engaging, inspiring, and empowering employees to think like owners and to deliver on promises to our employees, customers, and stakeholders. Create a deep understanding of a complex technical environment through data and reporting. Ability to travel 10-20%

Education

BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience. 10+ years -- plus add additional experience requirements needed if you were to fill an open requisition, i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of operations experience in an engineering environment
  • Desire to working in a fast paced, hands-on environment experience
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in technical or business field
