Job Summary

The IT Solution Architect will be responsible for driving the applications roadmap, and delivery of end-to-end technology solutions that will enable NetApp’s finance organization. The role will report to the IT Sr. Director, Finance.

This role will lead and take complete ownership of the functional & solution design deliverables. In the highly matrixed organization, this role will be responsible for partnering with the global business, IT enterprise architecture and cross-functional product teams on requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment of capabilities to production. The right candidate will have a solid functional understanding of the finance operations, Revenue to Record, Record to Report, Contract to Cash, including usage based subscription billing, revenue recognition, cash management, FP&A, treasury, and collections.

As a Solution Architect, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end IT technology ownership for the finance business capabilities
  • Lead NetApp’s Oracle ERP cloud journey - Influence & support process transformation, lead the implementation of new business model enablement and drive technology simplification and consolidation
  • Partner with business, IT enterprise architects, and product managers on the multi-year Service Strategy and Target State Architecture
  • Participate, influence, and drive cross-functional initiatives and enhancements in the Finance domain
  • Translate business requirements into solution designs, which may include conceptual, logical, and physical views of the architecture
  • Develop solution architecture requirements, both functional and non-functional, for both packaged Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) packages and bespoke solutions development
  • Lead solutions architecture to create standardized design artifacts in alignment with EA domain guidelines and standards; provide feedback to EA to improve domain guidelines and standards
  • Lead the solution reviews with internal and external stakeholders, including Delivery teams, and Enterprise Architecture Review Board
  • Drive POCs, evaluation and selection of software products and solutions (including Market Intelligence)

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 12 years of information technology experience of which at least 8-10 years mainly in finance operations and contract to cash domains
  • Hands-on level understanding and experience in Finance Operations, Contract to Cash, revenue recognition, revenue to record, record to report
  • Prior experience working at a global hi-tech company supporting HW, SW, Services, and Subscription business models
  • Direct experience implementing Oracle ERP Cloud and integrating with other on-prem and SaaS Applications
  • Solid understanding of SaaS platforms, Middleware, DevOps, API Management, and IT business models
  • Strong business partnership with a proven track record of successfully driving cross-functional initiatives and projects
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills; able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

Education

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience is required
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree required; Information Technology, or related technical field is preferred
