Job Summary

As an Engineering Manager, you will plan, lead, and manage engineering and cloud services programs. You will lead a team of software engineers to implement, test and deliver high quality additions to our Cloud Volumes Service product in collaboration with our partners at Microsoft.

 

As a Engineering Manager your responsibilities will include:

· A major part of your responsibility will be to provide direction and supervision to a team of Engineers responsible for end to end delivery of features.

· Utilize previously acquired technical experience to become actively involved in day-to-day projects to meet schedules and resolve problems.

· Take responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.

· Communicate status, key issues, and changes to leadership.

· Suggest and initiate process improvements as needed

Job Requirements

· You will run a scrum-like team, scheduling and tackling work items and conducting sprint-like reviews.

· You must demonstrate leadership and vision in determining and driving both tactical and strategic decisions.

· You are responsible for unstructured tasks and will need new perspectives and creative approaches.

· You will show initiative and good judgment in preventing problems and proposing solutions to identified issues.

· You can manage workloads, set priorities, and drive results independently.

· You must work collaboratively with a distributed global team to meet aggressive goals, while responding to changing business and technical conditions.

Education

· Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

· Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.

· Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects concurrently.

· 5+ years of experience preferred, ideally including a role in management.

· A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

· Familiarity with the Atlassian collaboration tools, including Jira and Confluence.

Compensation:
The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
