Title:  Software Engineer

Job Summary

The Cloud Innovation team in NetApp Iceland is working on incubating proactive solutions for our customers to enable them to integrate Generative AI and other emerging technologies into the workflows that they have on our existing services in Azure and Google Cloud today. 

As a Software Engineer you will work as part of a team responsible for building these solutions, working with bleeding-edge technologies to help deliver value to our customers. You will join a diverse mid-sized team of experienced developers combining LLMs, APIs, databases, Kubernetes, serverless functions and UI/UX experiences. 

Job Requirements

• Work on developing experimental features and products in cooperation with our internal engineering teams, partners (Microsoft and Google) and customers.
• Help the team by removing blockers and raise major issues proactively.
• Work on complex problems across our components in a cross functional team. 

Education

• BSc degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 
• 4+ years experience in software development 
• Great communication skills in English (both verbal and written) 
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies 

Preferred qualities 

• Experience in Javascript, C#, Go, Rust, Python or an equivalent language 
• Experience in working with Git or other version control systems. 
• Some experience working with Large Language Models APIs like OpenAI’s, LLama etc. 
• Systematic problem-solving approach 
• A sense of ownership and drive 
• Container technologies, preferably Kubernetes
