Job Summary

The digital marketing analyst will partner with the marketing organization, to deliver a holistic approach for leveraging insights and analytics to help maximize NetApp marketing investments to achieve business goals, mainly focused on the website performance and digital marketing channels. This role will ensure marketing can access and act on rich, data-based analysis and analytical models that dramatically enhance decision making and targeting across marketing. This role will be responsible for providing valuable reports and insights, recommendations, and action plans to marketing teams and executives. 

The analyst will also apply creative data visualization techniques to tell the story that data indicate and utilize data modeling to develop forward-looking performance projections. Because the analyst relies on accurate data to do their work, they will continuously evaluate data fidelity and availability, and work with the data infrastructure team, IT, or marketing or sales operations to correct any problems.  

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and implement plans to institute web and digital performance evaluation and measurement 
  • Partner with the web and digital marketing teams to help improve online conversions and implement strategic programs using web activity data. 
  • Avidly monitor, deliver, and recommend key metrics for web conversion ratio optimization projects to improve the lift and velocity of growth 
  • Integrate with channel leads, content and UX/design teams to ensure enhancements and new features are designed with KPIs and performance targets in mind  
  • Provide valuable improvement or optimization insights through independent analysis of data  
  • Identify data inaccuracies, availability, or other data problems to the data infrastructure team  
  • Empower stakeholder teams to perform their own analyses on items within their own responsibilities (e.g. providing useful reports and dashboards)  
  • Act as a champion for a data-driven culture, evangelizing best practices with internal stakeholders across functional areas, markets and relevant WW functions.  

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, data science, or math.  
  • 3-yr of experiences in digital marketing or marketing analytics 
  • Strong leadership skills and communication skills to consolidate key analytics and insights into focused actions for marketing practitioners and executives. Must be able to influence a wide range of levels without authority. 
  • Ability to present to teams and drive virtual projects for both technical and business audiences 
  • 2-yrs of direct experiences in using web analytics tool such as Adobe Analytics (ideally) or Google Analytics, preferably within a B2B marketing organization 
  • Experiences in running and optimizing digital marketing campaigns is strongly desired, preferably within a B2B marketing organization 
  • 1+year of experiences in writing, auditing, and optimizing complex SQL queries for large data sets
