Job Summary:
We are looking for an Executive Briefing Center (EBC) Technical Briefing Manager in our flagship EBC at our San Jose. This role is responsible for planning, managing, and facilitating in-person, virtual, and hybrid customer engagements with executives to further sales efforts. Excellent communication with global sales teams, executive stakeholders, and strategic partners is required in planning and managing customer meetings. A strong technical/engineering background is highly encouraged.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with the sales team, product managers, executives, and executive staff regarding processes and procedures to execute successful briefings. Must have proven success in building relationships at all levels of the organization
- Work with senior leadership, sales, marketing, product teams, and other areas of the company to create, plan and execute customized briefings
- Collaborate with EBC peers on cross-functional projects to maintain the world-class briefing experience we continue to provide and achieve.
- Lead the complete planning process beginning to end for customer briefings and engagements
- Manage prep and planning calls with the account team and discussion leaders to ensure discussion leaders understand overall briefing objectives
- Facilitate each briefing, including but not limited to review of customer session needs, the customer’s Business Insights / Voice of the Customer, facilitation to drive business outcome conversations and transition to subject matter experts during each session, and finally the closing to ensure all the customer’s objectives were met and challenges understood
- Facilitation is a key attribute to the role and training/certification is a requirement. As a facilitator, it is the briefing manager’s responsibility to orchestrate the conversation throughout the day and act as a strategic advisor between the customer, the account team, and the discussion leaders/subject matter experts
- Act as a technical consultant to the sales account team from the initial briefing request to create an agenda, and source appropriate discussion leaders (including executives) based on the shared objectives of both the account team and the customer
- Populate and keep the briefing management system up to date to reflect all changes
Job Requirements:
- 8+ years of Executive Briefing Center experience for B2B technology companies
- Strong recent facilitation and presentation skills; has completed facilitation training
- Experience working with Sales team members and Executives
- Knowledgeable about the developments in the broader industry with the ability to link the NetApp portfolio with customer needs to create successful business outcomes
- Understanding of competitors and how NetApp’s solutions and portfolio differentiate
- Has experience with a wide range of industry technologies and understands the differences between them as they relate to the customer’s challenges they face and outcomes they desire
- Ability to understand client’s technology solutions, and how emerging market trends and interdependencies impact customer’s business outcomes
- Technical and engineering background in data management products and solutions
- Has a deep understanding of both business and market trend
- Ability and interest to learn new EBC technology solutions such as customized CMS tool, digital whiteboards, and hybrid hosting environments
- Possess strong technical background in industry solutions and products to be the conduit to the conversations taking place throughout the briefing to ensure the customer’s objectives and challenges are being discussed and met

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $137K - $177K. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
