Job Summary

As a NetApp Education Business Partner, you will serve as an ‘Account Manager’ who manages audience and stakeholder relationships and the execution of learning programs focused on Professional Services and Support. This individual requires effective communication and partnering skills as they work directly with numerous teams across an audience to identify learning requirements on an ongoing basis aligned with key business imperatives. This individual will be responsible for the execution of several critical activities including, defining training strategies and programs, analyzing audience needs and requirements, defining overall curriculum plans and learning paths, and organizing the delivery of training, on-going reporting and communication to achieve defined success metrics.

Education Business Partners must possess accomplished problem-solving skills and the ability to aggressively drive initiatives cross-functionally.  They must be comfortable working in a fast-growing environment, while adapting to and introducing change.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage audience-specific training programs and included portfolio of learning solutions for NetApp University.
  • Collaborate with all functional areas within NetApp University to drive innovative training solutions.
  • Define, develop and drive an overall strategy for focused, ‘audience-aligned’ curricula - based on stakeholder needs, market opportunity & business goals.
  • Manage relationship with stakeholder communities and serve as the voice of learning requirements and trusted training advisor.
  • Project manage and execute on all learning requirements within NetApp University throughout program lifecycle (eg needs analysis, design, content development, delivery, maintenance and EOL).
  • Report and track learning program metrics for stakeholders and management, develop and deliver executive dashboards and quarterly business reviews, analyze learning program effectiveness and provide continuous recommendations for program enhancements.
  • Evangelize and market education programs and initiatives through training paths, monthly newsletters and other key communication vehicles

Job Requirements

  • Experience with developing services and support training programs and processes.
  • Experience in assessing training needs, developing a plan to meet those needs and executing the development and deployment of the training.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization and with external parties.
  • Extraordinary commitment to developing and delivering an optimal partner education experience.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a collaborative manner, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Demonstrated program, project and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and written skills. 
  • Proven innovative approach to problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to operate independently, deal with ambiguity and drive optimal results.
  • Ability to express a vision and inspire teams to move forward together.


  • 5-8+ years of project/program management experience, preferably in a services and support (education or professional services) capacity.
  • BA/BS required in relevant field, MBA preferred.
  • Experience in the storage/data management industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the education market.
