Job Summary

As a Workplace Resource program manager International projects you will manage multiple projects which are tightly integrated, resulting in a common goal. As International Program manager, you will define, plan, track and manage projects as a part of the Workplace Resource management function. You will work closely with other WPR and SAS program managers, and cross functional business groups to ensure that the efficiency and effectiveness are in support of the program goals and objectives. Your ability to lead, motivate and encourage teamwork is essential in this team environment. 

You will be a seasoned professional with a “big picture” orientation, solid financial / technical competencies and strong project management skills. Understanding of cultural differences is required to be successful in this role.

Essential Functions

  • Overall coordination and integration of series of projects as part of a program.
  • Participate in cross functional meetings to identify growth or change facilities requirements and translate these business needs into an overall strategic plan what can be shared with stakeholders
  • Provide accountability and central focus to all planning activities
  • Plan and manage the interfaces between projects
  • Ensure clear communication across projects, and gain commitment from project leads to achieve overall program goals
  • Define program process and plan, and validate with Executive sponsor
  • Facilitate communication and reconciliation between program and functional managers
  • Responsible for meeting objectives and timelines
  • Control project variances and change requests
  • Responsible for project/ program governance and record retention
  • Ensure compliance and flag any concerns

Job Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities, work well with others, and multitask.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals
  • In-depth knowledge of the standards, codes, and regulations pertaining to the WPR function
  • A demonstrated ability to partner with professional and management level employees across functions.
  • Experience in contractor and project management.
  • Strong user of Microsoft Project; Knowledge of eBuilder is a pre

Responsibility and Interaction

  • Responsibility: 
    • The tasks this individual is responsible for are across GEO’s and vary from small to complex projects
    • The focus of this role is to partner closely with NetApp management and the cross functional teams

 

  • Interaction:
    • This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees both inside and outside of their function and organization. 
    • Limited supervision is provided, as this individual can operate, drive results, and sets priorities independently
    • The ideal candidate will be proactive contributor and subject matter expert
    • To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through leadership and influencing multiple individuals and groups

Education & Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as an individual contributor and a minimum of 5 years program/project management is required.
  • Agile; Scrum master  
  • A Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent experience.
  • Business and financial management experience
