Title:  Senior Risk Analyst

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for supporting the execution, implementation and coordination of all aspects of the worldwide property, casualty, workers’ compensation and management liability insurance programs. The Senior Risk Analyst will develop data-driven recommendations for the risk and insurance management strategy, including implementation of risk transfer programs, retentions, analysis, and execution of alternative risk transfer programs and mitigation techniques.

This position routinely interfaces with Insurance Brokers, Insurers, Third-Party Administrators, and other functional groups like, Treasury, Finance, Safety & Security, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement. This position contributes to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, providing expertise and guidance in identifying and mitigating risk to achieve compliant and financially justified global and local insurance programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the negotiations for worldwide property, casualty, workers’ compensation and management liability insurance programs which consists of setting renewal strategy, negotiating coverage and implementing the insurance. Negotiation of policy terms entails detailed review and technical knowledge of policy form terms, conditions, and endorsements relative to NetApp requirements
  • Identify and assess the risks to the businesses. To ensure that NetApp is well protected and potential losses are mitigated. The Senior Risk Analyst will support business functions in managing its risks and help prioritize any insurer recommendations
  • Develop subject matter expertise to provide guidance on legal agreements, lead training sessions and liaise with different functional groups and senior level managers as needed
  • Assist in the resolution of complex and difficult claims. Work closely with other functional groups to ensure appropriate facts and documentation are provided to set accounting reserves in the appropriate accounting periods
  • Assess insurance market trends, directions and developments that may impact pricing and coverage for the upcoming year and support application of methodology for allocating insurance premiums to divisions and affiliates
  • Establish and maintain insurance carrier and broker relationships
  • Assist in timely processing and communication for Workers Compensation claims process globally

Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in insurance and risk management or a related field
  • Organization, project management skills and attention to detail ensuring key deadlines are met
  • Commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-matrix, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Demonstrated analytics experience and ability to recommend data-driven solutions
  • Experience in Claims Management and settlements
  • Experience in working with senior internal and external stakeholders

Education;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal, Finance, Accounting, or Risk Management required

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $138K - $179K. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
