JOB SUMMARY
NetApp’s Solutions Architecture (SA) team partners with Enterprise Sales to drive high-level AI and analytics conversations with customers, stepping in when deep technical expertise is needed beyond day-to-day SE support. As the Senior Solutions Architect for AI & Analytics, you will support Enterprise customers across the Northeast and Southeast regions, understand their AI strategy, how their data sits on NetApp today, and where AI or analytics workloads can be introduced or expanded.
Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with Generative AI, NVIDIA Enterprise, ML frameworks, and strong data/storage fundamentals, and will design AI solutions, lead technical engagements, and help customers confidently integrate AI into their business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Engagement & AI Strategy
- Lead advanced AI and analytics discussions with Enterprise customers in the Northeast and Southeast regions.
- Assess customer AI strategy, current data usage, and identify new AI/analytics workload opportunities.
- Present clear architectural recommendations across GenAI, ML workflows, GPU workloads, and analytics platforms (Spark, Hadoop, Splunk, PyTorch).
Field Partnership & Enablement
- Partner with Client Executives and SEs to align AI opportunities with account strategy while respecting customer ownership.
- Coach field teams on how to find, qualify, and position AI and analytics use cases.
- Deliver workshops, webinars, and technical sessions to elevate AI readiness across the region.
Technical Leadership
- Architect AI and analytics solutions that integrate with NetApp technologies and meet customer objectives.
- Provide design guidance on scalability, data pipelines, integration points, and GPU architecture.
- Support demos, POCs, and pilot engagements to drive technical validation.
Pipeline Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Help generate and advance AI pipeline within existing Enterprise accounts.
- Contribute to proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and customer-facing documentation.
- Share field insights with product management and engineering to influence AI and data platform enhancements.
Industry & Product Expertise
- Stay current on Generative AI, NVIDIA Enterprise, ML frameworks, analytics platforms, and competitive offerings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NetApp solutions, portfolio updates, and emerging AI capabilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years in a Solutions Architect, pre-sales, or customer-facing technical role with recent focus on AI, ML, or analytics.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Generative AI and ML frameworks
- NVIDIA Enterprise / GPU-accelerated workloads
- Apache Spark, Hadoop, Splunk, PyTorch, or similar analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of storage or enterprise storage/data management systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to pivot conversations and influence executive and technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and enable field teams on how to position technology, value, and differentiation with customers.
- Strong ability to identify, qualify, and drive pipeline for AI and analytics opportunities in partnership with sales teams.
- Proven capability to develop architecture guidance, illustrate solution benefits, and support customers through scalability, integration, and design considerations.
- Ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with customer technical contacts, partners, and internal teams.
- Ability to stay current on industry trends, AI technologies, and competitive messaging.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 205,700 - 266,200 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
