Job Summary

Our Solutions Engineers lead the technical sales and post-sales support on NetApp's Products and Solutions to existing and new customers. Utilize your excellent technical and relationship building skills in working with vendors, partners and sales to ensure that optimum systems solutions are provided to customers. This team is highly visible and carries great responsibilities in enabling customers realize the benefits of using NetApp technologies and services. As a member of this team, you will significantly improve how our customers manage and control their data as well as implement our product/Hybrid Cloud strategies. 

What is a day as a Solution Engineer like?

  • Play a key role in delivering innovative technical solutions to our customers
  • Have a technical focus on Hybrid Cloud Technologies
  • Work directly with customers and partners in pre-sales situations
  • Work effectively actoss functions with other NetApp employess in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Development areas
  • Identify customer needs and requirements and deliver the best customer outcome possible
  • Strategize and hunt closely with your Sales counterpart(s)
  • Work with broader NetApp team to rspond to RFx's
  • Escalate issues that could impact business results
  • Co-ordinate local, national and international technical resourcers to ensure that customer requirements are met, and opportunities are succesfully closed
  • Deepend your technical capabilities by learning new technologies via training and certifications
Job Requirements

What you can bring to the table

  • An interest and passion for Cloud Technologies, DevOps, Machine Learning and Al
  • Proven experience with Cloud Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure and/or GCP) and their specific architecture
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A passion for delivering innovative technical solutions
  • The knack to propose and expertly demonstrate solutions using presentations, existing customer or partner solutions, white board, demos, pilots, proof-of-concepts, etc.
  • A curious mind and collaborative style
Education
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
