Job Summary

As a Google Sales Specialist South Korea, you will be responsible for building, growing, winning, and maintaining a high market penetration for Google and NetApp’s Cloud Storage portfolio across key South Korean industries.
The role focuses on accelerating Google Cloud adoption and storage-led transformation within enterprise and large commercial customers in South Korea, leveraging both direct Google Cloud consumption and indirect routes such as the Google Cloud Marketplace and partner ecosystem.

Essential Functions

In this role you will collaborate and work cross-functionally with Google Cloud, partner sales, GTM teams, product management and engineering to develop sales pipeline, deliver aimed business goals, drive direct Google Cloud consumption or indirect via Google Marketplace within new and existing customer accounts.
You will promote the value of Google and NetApp’s Cloud Storage portfolio, enable and engage key stakeholders to accelerate the business of key South Korean verticals such as Electronics and Semiconductor/EDA, Manufacturing, Automotive, Banking and Insurance, Gaming, Retail, Healthcare and Media, supporting data management and AI applications on Google Cloud for both in cloud and hybrid/on premises environments.
You will gather market feedback, identify opportunities for product improvement, and contribute to the ongoing development of Google and NetApp’s Cloud Storage portfolio to meet evolving customer demands in the South Korean market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a revenue based sales plan for South Korea that maps to the appropriate Google resources; prospect into Partner, Alliances, Field Sales, Customer Success, Product and Professional Services teams to build and own the relationship map; manage sales opportunities, create sales pipeline and deliver accurate revenue forecasts.
• Drive disciplined business management; adapt to a culture of accountability; build a strong and active business network with key South Korean enterprise stakeholders and become a trusted advisor; exceed sales targets and operational standards.
• Build and transform new markets and verticals in South Korea and lead transformational cloud and data initiatives for customers. Develop, communicate, and deliver high business impact solutions that enable digital transformation, AI adoption, and data modernization.
• Maintain and develop a positive Customer and Partner Experience aligned with the foundational goals and expectations of Google.
• Demonstrate clear communication, accountability, and leadership. As this is an evolving and competitive space in South Korea, the ability to pivot quickly, test new approaches, and adapt to market nuances is essential.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience selling into the Indian market, preferable in Application and Infrastructure Modernization, DevOps and/or Google Cloud Infrastructure Adoption
• Proven expertise in selling large solution based deals to senior business decision makers by aligning and reinforcing the value of the solution to the customer’s overall business challenge and/or strategic opportunities and decision criteria.
• Background of working in complex matrix organizations, sound business and commercial understanding, strong negotiation and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to solve customer problems with Google Cloud Platform, specifically solutions related to application and infrastructure modernization, cloud migration and hybrid cloud, DevOps/DevTest, AI data integration along with knowledge of enterprise and competitive cloud solutions.
• Success in previous roles selling through or with customers and partners with joint GTM programs.
• Clear and demonstrated understanding of the various capabilities of hyperscaler GTM strategies and channels including marketplace and partner ecosystem, preferable with Google Cloud.
• Ability to work in a fluid environment and possess a creative mindset for new forms of storage consumption/pricing models and emerging technologies.
