Job Summary

This position is for ONTAP Performance Labs which are a specialized, very high paced, constantly evolving environment. As a Lab Administrator you are part of a team that is responsible for hardware implementation, OS implementation, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting in support of troubleshooting in support of ONTAP Performance Engineering charter. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and address customer needs, develop implementation plans, and execute on those plans

 

Essential Functions


The Lab Administrator is responsible for a wide range of functions and expertise.  As a part of a team, you will help to ensure that team objectives, ticket SLAs, and project deadlines are met.   The essential functions of the team include:
•    Planning, designing, implementing, and leading hardware and software installation projects
•    Analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging hardware & software.
•    Conducting and directing the analysis of business problems to be solved.  May work with other technical teams, to understand functional business needs and jointly develop solutions.
•    Diagnosing and Resolving problems.
•    Ensuring client satisfaction and managing client relationship.
•    Reporting to customers and management on status, resources needs, and projected outcomes.

•    Ability to work collaboratively with other Performance Lab team members to support deadlines; ability to work independently as well.
•    Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a development environment. 
•    Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.

•    Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with competing deadlines

 

Technical Requirements:
•   Server:

  • Operating Systems: Unix, Linux, Windows (Required) - Should be proficient with CLI for linux and unix (Required)
  • Hardware: Installation and troubleshooting (Required)
  • SAN & NAS (Preferred)


•   Storage:

  • Operating Systems: NetApp (Preferred)
  • Hardware: Installation and troubleshooting (Required)
  • RAID (Required)
  • SAN (Preferred)
  • NAS (Preferred


•   Infrastructure:

  • Networking: (Required)- Cisco (Preferred), Arista
  • Terminal Servers: Lantronix
  • Fiber Channel: Brocade and Cisco (Preferred)

•   Virtualization: (Preferred) - VMware, Hyper-V, Xen, KVM, Open Stack
•   Scripting: (Preferred) - Perl, Python, Expect, Bash
•   Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
•   Atlassian Tools: JIRA, Confluence (Required)

 

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 108,800 - 162,800 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
