Job Summary

The Commodity and Operation Manager holds a dual role within the Procurement organization. This individual manages commodity initiatives, starting with packaging as the immediate focus, with potential expansion to additional commodity categories as business needs evolve while also supporting the EMS Manager in tracking supplier commitments and ensuring operational execution. Both responsibilities are equally integral to this role

Job Requirements

Commodity Manager

Negotiation & Commercial Management

• Lead price negotiations and establish commercial terms with suppliers.

• Drive cost reduction initiatives and benchmark supplier pricing against market.

Business Relationship & Contract Management

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers through regular business reviews.

• Draft, manage, and monitor supplier contracts throughout their lifecycle.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders on commodity requirements, performance, and escalations.

• Support expansion to additional commodity categories as business needs evolve.

Localization & Sourcing

• Lead commodity localization initiatives, identifying and qualifying suppliers in the regions where they are needed.

• Develop sourcing strategies to reduce cost, lead time, and supply chain risk.

• Manage RFQ/RFP processes and evaluate supplier proposals.

 

Operations Support — EMS

Supplier Commitment Tracking

• Monitor and track EMS supplier commitments and milestones (e.g., tooling transfers, agreed deliverables).

• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely completion and escalate delays or risks to the EMS Manager.

Documentation & Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate documentation for supplier activities, action items, and agreed commitments.

• Prepare and submit operational and compliance reports to support internal processes.

• Coordinate administrative tasks related to EMS supplier programs, including approvals and system updates

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement, commodity management, or supplier operations.

• Experience in packaging commodity sourcing highly preferred.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office.

• Familiarity with AI-related productivity tools is a plus.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced global environment.

• Fluent in English and Spanish
