Job Summary

NetApp® has an exciting opportunity to join its Global Accounts Pre-Sales Organization as a Global Solution Architect (GSA).


As a GSA you will be part of a Europe-wide architect team, responsible for developing Hybrid-cloud architectures for NetApp’s Global Accounts. You will lead the technical direction at a customer and take ownership of Proof of Value projects in pre-sales situations with the goal to deliver world-class, customer centric solutions and services.

Job Requirements

You will be part of an account team that spans the globe. The GSA understands the customers business requirements before mapping them to a technology portfolio. Therefore, helps them to build new architectures in a data-driven, hybrid cloud world and helps to identify new buyers for NetApp within these customers. The ideal candidate is based in Germany but can also be based out of EMEA. 



  • Goal will be to help your customer to translate business challenges into end-to-end portfolio solutions and proof the value of the proposed architecture.
  • Soft skills allow you to establish and maintain customer relationships within your customer and become a trusted advisor
  • Tech skills include an operational understanding of Microservices, Converged Infrastructure, Cloud Services and Automation. Designing of cloud architectures and understanding of both traditional IT infrastructures, as well as public cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Economical skills are based around consumption, managed service and global account economics
  • Industry knowledge in a vertical e.g. automotive, finance, service provider, manufacturing or life science is a benefit
  • 5 to 8 years working experience in IT Sales (Cloud, HW or SW tech sales)
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering; or related field is required; a Graduate Degree is preferred.
  • Certification in a major Cloud Technology and CI / HCI solutions
