Job Summary

Marketing Campaign Strategist 

The marketing campaign strategist works on the campaigns team, in the demand marketing organization, to devise campaign plans to achieve corporate marketing goals, and coordinates the activities of multiple groups to execute those plans. The campaign strategist is also responsible for reporting campaign performance to various NetApp management groups.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Design and develop global integrated marketing campaigns that speak to the right prospects, at the right accounts, at the right stages of the buying journey.
    • Quickly build a deep understanding f the customer voice and pain points and use that knowledge to shape campaign creative and messaging.
    • Evaluate cntent from all parts of the organization and thoughtfully combine those pieces into a cohesive buyers journey and associated campaign. Identify content gaps and work with product marketing and content teams to ideate new, high-quality content.
    • Brief, negtiate with, and oversee the work of internal and external creative agencies, as required, to develop campaign creative.
    • Identify key perfrmance indicators and owners prior to execution of activities.
    • Deliver cmplete campaign packages, on schedule and within budget, to demand centers for execution.
  • Manage campaign budget to ensure full campaign investment, with no overages.
  • Coordinate campaign activities of multiple functional teams: analyst relations, press relations, events, demand centers, digital, field, content, product, channel, alliances, and social and influence marketing teams.
  • Ensure that campaign execution globally and through all marketing channels is consistent with the campaign design, goals, budget, and performance expectations.
  • Work with demand centers to monitor and optimize campaign performance to achieve campaign objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain relations with vendors and shared services within NetApp by working collaboratively and being a trusted source of information. Motivate vendors and shared services to deliver on brand, on time, and on budget.
  • Represent campaign plans, performance, and recommended improvements to NetApp marketing and business unit management.
  • Position the campaign strategists team as a strategic resource and trusted advisor to internal teams, building credibility by bringing fresh ideas and a willingness to experiment.
  • Maintain an attitude of customer service and continuous improvement.

 

 

Job Requirements

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing campaign management or digital marketing, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree.
  • Extensive experience working on a variety of marketing campaigns from inception to completion.
  • Broad understanding of NetApp’s products and services.
  • Ability to manage a diverse, multifunctional marketing team to work toward campaign goals in an environment of constant change and competing commitments.
  • Strong technical marketing ability and marketing platform experience, including marketing automation, website and analytics tools, and related technologies.
  • Data-driven approach to campaign planning and evaluation, and the ability to proactively troubleshoot and find creative solutions.
  • Relevant industry experience gained from a similar company would be a strong advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to small- to medium-sized groups.
  • Ability to work to organizational deadlines and KPIs.

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
