Job Summary

The NetApp Worldwide Field and Customer Operations (WWFCO) Analytics Team is seeking a Data Visionary to help enable internal organizations as well as to help our customers be more successful. Our team is highly dynamic and is positioned to make impacts through our work as we understand stakeholder needs, model data, visualize and analyze data, and partner with IT to provision analytic solutions. We are seeking a candidate who is data savvy and who issolution oriented. 

As a WWFCO Business Analyst you participate in providing business analysis and coordination services for internal operational programs from initiation through delivery.  The WWFCO professionals in this role act as in-house consultants and manage all steps relevant to the successful delivery of analytics capabilities including: review of user, technical and logistical requirements, identifying tasks, assigning and coordinating resources and creating/tracking project schedules, analysis of business benefits, analysis of post-project outcomes, and more.   This is a challenging position with the opportunity to work collaboratively with professionals in several NetApp functions, with a focus on understanding internal operational programs and leveraging NetApp data assets to drive stronger business outcomes through analytics.  
 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined measurement criteria.
The candidate will have experience with analytics/business intelligence concepts and tools.  
Experience with visualization tools (Tableau/Qlik) or statistical analysis (R, SPSS, SAS, Python) desired.
Experience with data prep tools (Alteryx, Knime, etc) a plus
Experience in a business analyst role desired
Experience with advanced analytic / data science predictive methods desired
Working knowledge of one or more database/SQL languages: Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL
Development experience in at least one programming language: Java, C++, etc.
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and utilizing project management applications.
Creative approach to problem solving.
Project or program management training or demonstrated experience.
Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

Essential Functions:

WWFCO Business Analysts are responsible for the readiness of the WWFCO internal operational programs.  You will define, manage and track service/support requirements, deliverables, program schedules, and milestones for programs under the project managers.  Specific responsibilities of the position include:

Develop and manage WWFCO Service Readiness plan that considers all the analytics requirements, milestones and deliverables associated with internal operational programs.  
Work with the WWFCO functional groups to develop, document and communicate business model requirements, processes, and tools.
Serve as a proactive trusted advisor to internal WWFCO business domains on analytics needs.
Model, visualize, and analyze internal data to reach business decisions.  
Inform PMO of domain related risk and issues and provide mitigation strategies.
Work with NetApp delivery teams and cross functional organizations to execute on the WWFCO analytics roadmap.
Work with cross functional teams and drive WWFCO requirements into Enterprise IT and delivery teams for operational/execution programs. 
Develop measurement criteria and capabilities to monitor and drive continuous serviceability and process improvement.
Coordinate and deliver the testing and business readiness activities, including training, of internally supported WWFCO teams.

Responsibility:  

The tasks this individual is responsible for are often non-routine and unstructured, requiring creative solutions.
This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems.

Interaction: 

This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects.  There will be communication with employees in other functions as required.
Limited management direction is provided to employee on new projects or assignments as well as review of activities and priorities.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert on team projects.
The ideal candidate will have an aptitude in establishing relationships with internal or external customer organizations and possess the ability to effectively translate technical concepts into business language.
The candidate is expected to work within a global team, and will work with an offshore model to operationalize mature requirements or processes.
 

Education

Education & Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.  6 to 8 years of experience is preferred. 
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or related field; or equivalent experience is required.
Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
