Job Summary

The Global Demand Gen Manager plays a crucial role in the Global Demand Gen team within our Marketing Organization. We are looking for a Demand Gen manager who has a passion for driving awareness, demand and adoption for NetApp storage solutions.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and ideally be strong in managing marketing programs. A background in demand generation, including expertise in automation tools, digital demand generation, telemarketing lead qualification, demand generation reporting and analysis is desired.

As part of this role you will collaborate and work with several teams across the globe, including field marketing, channel marketing, marketing operations and digital marketing. You will work in a dynamic team that creates and drives critical global marketing campaigns. As part of this, you will define and execute demand gen campaigns with the end goal of creating leads for our direct sales teams and channel partners.  

Other responsibilities include being engaged in all operational aspects of a campaign, agency management, budget management and reporting. Utilizing your strong visual and verbal communication skills, you will prepare and deliver status reporting and presentations to our global stakeholders. You will apply your broad project management abilities, your campaigns marketing expertise and knowledge in solving problems that are unique and complex given time, budget and resource constraints. Your success will be measured on your ability to work in a team and on your capabilities to build and roll-out campaigns on time and on budget.

Job Requirements

•    Develop and implement high impact, multi-channel demand generation programs in order to meet lead and pipeline goals 
•    Develop and strategically align campaigns with our go-to-market priorities, vertical segmentation, target audiences our key personas and their business challenges.
•    Continually refine and augment lists and firmographic data to ensure targeting.  
•    Fast and effective list pulls and optimization
•    Maintain an effective cadence of outbound touches that inspire (and certainly don’t fatigue) prospects
•    Optimization for inbound promotions, paid and organic
•    Expert resource for best practices in demand gen content for emails, landing pages, and related materials
•    Measure and report on effectiveness of demand generation programs and campaigns, with the purpose of improving resource allocation, program efficiency and revenue generation 
•    Test new programs and tactics (A/B testing of email copy, testing new lead sources) 
•    Lead process for delivering promotional email and landing page copy 
•    Key individual contributor supporting corporate strategic objectives as well as being a ‘hands-on’ member of the team


•    A minimum of 8 years of experience is required; 10 to 12 years of experience is preferred. 
•    A Bachelor of Arts of Science Degree is required or equivalent experience
•    Demonstrated ability to have been completed multiple, complex marketing projects and demand campaigns in the past.
•    Basic understanding of the principles, strategies and techniques used for demand generation and awareness campaigns, including creation, execution and deployment is required. Expertise is highly valued.
•    Experience in a range of integrated marketing disciplines, including web marketing, email and direct marketing, asset development, content curation, project management, social media, research and online/paid search are desirable. 
•    Ability to learn NetApp systems is required. Hands on experience with Marketing Automation tools like Eloqua, Sales Automation tools like SalesForce and Analytics tools like Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) is preferred.
•    Background in Storage HW or SW marketing is preferred.
•    A Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree is required or equivalent experience, MBA is desirable.
