Title:  Director, Cloud Business Unit Finance

Job Summary


In the role of Director, Cloud Business Unit Finance you will utilize strong leadership and financial competencies to support the SVP of the Cloud Business Unit by driving financial analysis to support business planning, budgeting, decision making, and performance tracking (both financial and operational metrics).
Essential Functions:
  • Develop, monitor, analyze, and communicate financial/operational KPIs for Cloud and SaaS based lines of business
  • Serve as the finance leader for the Cloud Business, partnering with other functional business and finance leads, including sales, R&D, and marketing to drive strategic cloud objectives
  • Develop financial models, analyses, and ROIs to support strategic cloud initiatives
  • Participate in Cloud GTM design, review, and execution
  • Design, develop and implement operating policies that ensure the effective achievement of strategic cloud objectives.
  • Develop budgets for approval and assure adherence once budget is approved.
  • Utilize previous technical, project management, and people management experience to actively lead strategic regional and global projects. 
  • Own velocity of order entry, billing, revenue recognition process.


Job Requirements


  • Prior experience driving budgeting, forecasting, and dashboarding for a Cloud/SaaS business or business unit
  • Ability to influence through clear oral and written communications, synthesizing complex data analysis into executive presentations.
  • Intimate knowledge and understanding of Cloud and/or SaaS infrastructure, costs drivers, and KPIs
  • Prior experience with set up and configuration of cloud pricing, billing, and monitoring ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are required.
  • Broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex accounting issues.
  • Thorough knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory.
  • Prior experience with developing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Expertise in the following areas:
    • Strategic Accounting and Finance
    • Financial/Business Planning and Analysis
    • Financial Systems
  • Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, and Power Point software programs.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage professional level employees. 
  • Proven track record of surpassing objectives and delivering exceptional results.




  • A minimum of 7 to10 years of experience as a people manager is required.
  • A University Degree, or equivalent experience is required.
  • A post-graduate degree is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, critical projects is required.
