Job Summary

Are you excited about deriving insights from petabytes of data using modern machine learning techniques ? Are you naturally curious about experimenting with different techniques to optimize your results ? Do you understand the difference between ReLU, Softmax, and ELU etc. and when to use which one ? Have you worked with Logistic Regression, SVMs and Decision Trees ?

We use this data to resolve customer problems proactively, to drive sales, to enable our customers to optimize their storage, and to predict risks and trends. This data has also been used to collaborate with universities and write several award winning research papers at top conferences.

Job Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Must be hands-on, and able to quickly implement algorithms, and deploy in production
  • Fluent in Python, and Java or Scala
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries
  • Be passionate about learning new algorithms and problem domains
  • Develop innovative ideas, and work with product management and engineering architects to deliver solutions that delight customers
  • Interest in publishing your work at industry and research conferences
  • Familiarity with libraries such as Spark ML, Tensor flow, scikit-learn (or others like H2O, Databricks)



  • Experience using machine learning from idea development to production deployment
  • Strong programming skills – Python, and Java or Scala
  • Hands-on with TensorFlow, Keras, or Scikit-learn
  • Good understanding of distributed systems
  • Familiarity with Spark, Hive and the Hadoop ecosystem
  • Preferred: Knowledge about how to deploy your algorithm at large scale
  • Preferred: Experience with Kaggle competitions or similar.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards



  • Responsible for a mix of structured and unstructured tasks
  • May work with teams across the company in problem solving and design efforts


  • Interact primarily with direct manager and the technical team on assigned projects.
  • There may be communication with employees in other functions within the Business Unit as required


Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
