Job Summary

As the America’s Professional Services Senior Director, Services Sales you will lead and grow all aspects of the NetApp professional services sales organization for the America’s geo.  As a key member of the Senior Management team, you contribute and support the growth of the field organization through services and support sales that complement and accelerate the adoption of NetApp solutions. Your organization works closely with the area sales teams to sell solutions whether independent of hardware and software sales or in parallel to complete product sales.  This position requires a dynamic, hard-working and ambitious individual, with excellent oral and written communication skills.  Individuals will also possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills and have experience managing and growing a professional services sales practice. 
 

Manage the Enterprise Services solution sales management team in close linkage with NetApp Professional Services delivery leadership team. 
Provide strategy and direction for and across major functional areas of the business based on in-depth knowledge of the functional areas, business strategies, and company goals. 
Lead the execution of services into the enterprise account planning process across the Geo. 
Drive sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used across the sales     organization
Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization.
Drive business processes through internal systems and tools including CRM, order management system, call reporting, and sales funnel tracking
Team with NetApp Sales and Systems Engineering groups to create services solutions and develop business within the Geo. 
Act as the Geo senior resource for all customer-facing pre-sales meetings.  
Contribute to the planning and budget process as it relates to planning, goal attainment, forecasting and bookings performance.
Manage, track and forecast financial targets and provide reporting and submission of financial data to support corporate actions. 
Work with the partner community in the Geo to develop robust services offerings.  
Evangelize Enterprise Services’ value across the Americas team. 

Lead and/or contribute to the revisions of presentation materials for Services Product Management and Marketing. 
Work with Corporate groups on enhancements of deliverables, processes and operation solutions.
Create and maintain management level relationships with customers and cross
functional peers as a trusted advisor 
Monitor team expenses and identify cost savings opportunities.   Educate/advise
services team on the current regional financial picture and encourage/instill a sense of company ownership/fiscal responsibility.
Develop, recruit and retain top sales and customer centric talent to ensure the
    highest level of service is delivered to NetApp customers.

Requirements


Technical proficiency and foundation to understand business requirements with the ability to influence business owners and stakeholders.
Strong ability to build relationships with customers and internal leadership at all levels, along with effective interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
Strong team building, process management, problem solving and organization skills. 
Prior experience managing large teams distributed over multiple geographic areas. 
Demonstrated leadership in leading and developing a customer focused organization with deep client relationships both internally and externally.
Ability to identify, model and implement solutions for business situations and client needs.
Personal commitment to success and the ability to motivate others to succeed. 
Ability to be innovative and drive transformational activities targeted at maximizing the customer experience.
Solid understanding of business operations and ability to help manage and influence a multi-million operating budget.
Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts and management in a distributed environment.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as, presentation, customer, business and negotiation skills.
Experience in managing and enhancing a world-class services sales organization
Extensive experience in growing a Professional Services Sales practice.
Up to 50%+ travel required.
Receives Senior Management review of objectives to determine success.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in technical or business curriculum
Overall minimum 15 years experience in an engineering, sales, field operations, professional services, or global support function with successively higher levels of responsibility.
At least 7 years experience in senior leadership roles.
