Title:  Sr Revenue Accountant

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting, the primary responsibility of the role is to provide technical guidance, analyze and provide revenue results to the Revenue Account Team. In this role, the individual will be expected to adapt in a fast-paced work environment, and work with stakeholders to meet tight deadlines under changing requirements.

Job Requirements

 
• Be a subject matter expert and able to provide technical revenue accounting analyses of transactions, promos and new business models
• Be a versatile player in the revenue space that can perform various tasks ranging from routine close procedures to ad hoc projects
• Able to articulate technical revenue accounting guidance and apply in real world situation
• Analyze and document the revenue impacting terms and conditions of complex multiple element contracts
• Great communication skill to establish cross-functional working relationship with other departments
• Collaborate with the rest of the Revenue Team to drive the creation of executive presentations
• Provide monthly revenue report to the finance team
• Ad hoc projects and analysis to answer business questions and evaluate strategic opportunities
• Support the external audit by providing supporting audit schedules, evidence and process overview
• Analyze data to evaluate trends and assess reasonableness of the Company’s best estimate of selling price for fair value revenue allocations

Education

• Bachelor degree Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA is a plus
• A minimum of 4-6 years of Accounting experience, preferably related to revenue
• Ability to influence and partner with business colleagues throughout the organization
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet firm deadlines is a must
• Strong understanding of the principles of revenue recognition under both ASC605 and ASC606
• Working knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 605-25, ASC 985-605) and accounting operations (e.g. reconciliations)
• Must have great problem solving skills, be a self-starter, understand business issues and be able to clearly and concisely put together recommendations and implementation plans
• Track record of demonstrating in-depth preparation for presentations and strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong proficiency with Excel (advanced functions) and Access
• Experience with RevPro and Oracle strongly desired.
