Title:  Sr. Manager Advertising and Paid Media

Job Summary

This is a position for a media-savvy professional passionate about shaping NetApp’s brand and demand across all media channels.

The individual is part of a tight-knit team chartered with designing and executing promotional media campaigns in support of NetApp’s brand and demand initiatives. This position entails overseeing the execution of all integrated paid media activities while collaborating cross functionally in marketing and with external agencies. 

The team serves as the central point of contact designing holistic media programs across diverse paid media channels (i.e. digital, paid search, print, OOH, custom content/programs) and works closely across multiple departments (PR, social, digital) and global territories to bring to life media campaigns that differentiate NetApp’s brand to drive business growth. 

General Responsibilities:

•    Program manages planning and execution of global paid media for awareness and demand gen campaigns
•    Represents corporate paid media as we interface with local teams and GEOs, is responsible for providing updates to core teams
•    Manages multiple global agencies across display, paid search, social, name capture, and OOH to ensure objectives and strategies are in alignment with larger brand and business goals
•    Oversees delivery of campaign reporting including analysis of the insights and recommendations for future campaign improvement
•    Stays up-to-date on emerging media platforms and understands their impact on driving business value
•    Identifies process issues and implements corrective measures that ensures teams and external agencies are working effectively 

Job Requirements

•    Experience running media campaigns for B2B marketing, including focus on name acquisition
•    Open availability to be an active participant on GEO calls as needed (1x meeting a week), ranging from early mornings to evening  
•    Proven track record leveraging media to shape brands and drive sales 
•    Solid foundation in marketing metrics and reporting up insights to higher level executives
•    Candidate must be high energy, a positive “can-do” person who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities 
•    Be self-motivated to infuse strategic thinking for how paid media amplifies earned and owned media opportunities. 
•    Executes on behalf the business with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
•    Strong problem solving, decision-marking and analytical skills also critical
•    Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including internationally. 
•    Must be able to work both independently and on cross functional teams
•    Must have effective communication (verbal, written, presentation), time and project management skills


•    BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience. 8+ years as a media planner at agency. Experience in B2B advertising globally is preferred
•    Must have experience with media planning and executing across display, social and content syndication 
•    Proven experience supporting campaigns for large enterprise companies
