Job Summary

Product Marketing Engineer: Develops business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer requirements for existing and future products. Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives. Serves as the internal and external evangelist for the specific product(s) or product line(s) by creating compelling messages and demonstrating the benefits and capabilities. Establishes awareness and desire for the product.

Job Requirements

- Strong domain expertise in the areas of Cloud Computing, Storage Automation, ITIL Process & Service Oriented Architecture
- Exposure and Hands-on with REST programming , Ansible & new DevOps framework like Chef-Puppet & Terraform 
- Working knowledge with hyper scalar like Amazon & Azure  
- Storage – understanding of data management, NAS & SAN access protocols,
- Networking and Security – VPN, Firewalls, DPI, Routing and Switching, IAM, PKI
- Strong technical aptitude
- Ability to plan, outline and publish professional technical documents on schedule.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise professional manner, tailored to the appropriate audience; including both verbal and written communications.
- Ability to lead across business unit teams and have strong influencing skills at the Senior and Executive level.
- Creates and fosters a collaborative environment.
- Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation and frequently requires collaboration across multiple technical teams.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization internally and with partners externally, in broad technology areas.
- Problem solve difficult technical problems across business units without management assistance.
- Broad technical and strategic knowledge of products or solutions in several subject matter areas. Ability to build your network and become known as a subject matter expert within the industry

- Strong verbal and written communications skills; including improving presentation skills.  - Ability to learn to lead teams within a business unit.Responsibility and Interaction:- Responsibility: - The tasks this individual is responsible for are often non-routine and unstructured, requiring creative solutions.- This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems.- Interaction: - This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions as required.- Management direction is provided to employee on new projects or assignments as well as review of activities and priorities.- Be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert or lead on team projects.- Assist with integrating new hire engineers into the team.

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
