NetApp is looking for a progressive content marketing expert to lead content strategy and development for a business unit. This leader will work closely with demand generation, product marketing and multimedia experts to create the right content, at the right time for specific buyers in the best quality.

We’re looking for a person who is skilled at investigating content needs and performance, architecting content for a digital buying experience and building/writing high quality content centered on customer needs.

Job Requirements

 

Skills/capabilities:

  • Keen ability to set priorities and build a holistic strategy
  • Facilitation and creative brainstorming
  • Strong production skills and a nose for developing a story. Creative vision and understanding brand and editorial guidelines to liaise with and direct in-house teams, agencies, and production companies to bring stories to life.
  • Effortless communication skills to manage internal clients, expectations, budgets and timelines.
  • Adaptive and collaborative (a good bedside manner).
  • An alliance builder with teams inside of marketing, i.e. brand/creative, and outside of marketing, i.e. Communications, to help drive consistency around our output/deliverables.
  • Technical knowledge to know the pitfalls, work-arounds.
  • Ability to scope scrappily – leverage flexible resources, agency partners or just DIY.
  • High level of self-awareness/EQ and humility to inspire, coach and guide those that don’t know as much about video.

Responsibilities:

Content Strategy and Planning

  • Set content objectives and metrics based on business goals
  • Facilitate the ideation process to reach concreate creative decisions
  • Define content needs across demand gen, product, field and partner marketing by consulting with stakeholders to pick the right content for the right audience, and the best channel

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
