Job Summary

In the role of Director, you will support Public Cloud Services (PCS) Business Unit that is going through rapid growth. Public Cloud Services offers products that enable customers to shift from traditional on-prem storage to public cloud storage services including SaaS based data management products (Subscription and Consumption) and IaaS.  PCS is at the heart of NetApp’s growth strategy.  
You will also hire, lead and manage a team to provide BU FP&A support along with Cloud P&L responsibility. 

Job Requirements

  • This role has responsibility for a wide range of financial support and analysis including but not limited to:
    •    Lead a Finance team to drive all financial planning, reporting, resource optimization and KPIs for Netapp’s Public Cloud Services BU.
    •    Lead Finance effort in forecasting ARR, Revenue and Margin including monitoring capex purchases for 3rd party data center co-location sites and hyperscaler data centers, depreciation, monthly colo costs and cloud costs.
    •    Lead Finance effort in driving structure and scale to Cloud business
    •    Deep understanding of financial drivers to drive revenue and margin. 
    •    Automate the long-term P&L, tracking both product and hyperscaler margins and incorporate capex purchases to measure free cash flow.  
    •    Lead finance effort in implementing new product offerings, provide pricing analysis and develop KPI’s and customer metrics to measure their success.
    •    Business partnering with leadership team in the Cloud business unit and provide support for the monthly close and forecast (Opex, HC, Capex) cycle.   
    •    Integrate future Cloud acquisitions into NetApp systems, support data governance and transition reporting to centralized teams.
    •    Ensure compliance and work across functional departments including revenue and technical accounting. 


•    Cloud or SaaS or Subscription experience desired. 
•    Strong understanding of financial statements including B/S, P&L and drivers for revenue and margin.
•    Eagerness to learn along with having strong analytical skills. 
•    Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote locations.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Excellent interpersonal communication skills as needed to work successfully with staff and managers within and outside of function or the company.
•    Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
•    Ability to follow standard accounting and finance practices, and departmental procedures and processes.
•    Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
•    Hyperion skills a plus
•    BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience of 10-12 years.
•    Work hard and play hard attitude.
