Job Summary

Tax Mgmt: Develops and implements systems to compile information for various federal, state, and local reports. Ensures timely and accurate filing of tax returns. Assesses tax implications surrounding pending mergers and acquisitions. Recommends ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations. May administer international tax laws and regulations. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Job Requirements

- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, especially presentation skills.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are required.- Broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex accounting issues.- Thorough knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory.- Prior experience with developing budgets and controlling costs.- Expertise in domestic and international tax, strategic Accounting and Finance, Financial/Business Planning and Analysis, Internal/External Reporting Support; and GAAP, FASB, SOP, SEC.- Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, and Power Point software programs.- Proven track record of surpassing objectives and delivering exceptional results. Management and Interaction:Management: - This position is responsible for managing a major segment of work within a broad functional area for a large country or countries, or global geographic area. - This position directs and controls the activities of a group with significant content, product and/or project outcomes. - The focus of this role is on translating functional strategies into operational plans and priorities. May develop functional strategies. - The potential impact of decisions made by this individual has significant operational or financial impact on the overall success of the function or company outcomes.- This individual will use in-depth knowledge to solve issues that are complex in scope, and establish medium to long- range plans.- This individual is accountable for managing to assigned budget.Interaction: - This individual must demonstrate strong leadership skills by establishing clear goals, objectives and priorities that communicate the organization?s vision.Works with Senior Management and Vice President level employees addressing issues across companies and functions.- The position reports to a Senior Director or Vice President.

Education

BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience. 12+ years -- plus add additional experience requirements needed if you were to fill an open requisition, i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities.
