Job Summary

This position plays a central role in the Company's Bookings, Revenue and Gross Margins financial planning and analysis process

-    Maintain the Total Company model for Bookings, Revenue and Gross Margin.  Maintain model for use in Forecasts, Close, Annual Planning, Adhoc analyses, etc.  
o    Deferred and Non-Deferred Bookings to Revenue 
o    Product and Services Gross Margins

-    Partner with and drive process with various teams to enable real-time forecasting, scenario analysis, reconciliations, etc. to support executive decision making:
o    Geo, Business Units and Sales Operations teams for Bookings details
o    Revenue Accounting for compliance and technical revenue treatments
o    Services FP&A for Support and Professional Services COGS, Warranty, etc.
o    MFG FP&A for Mfg OH, Cost Reductions, E&O, etc.
o    Revenue Operations for Forecasts and Quarter-end Revenue Close
o    Corp FP&A to coordinate deliverables and calendars for Forecast, Close, Annual Planning, Adhoc requests

-    Manage BCOGS update process each quarter between various X-Functional teams, Pricing, IT, PM, QE, etc.

-    Support NetApp University organization.  Business partner with leadership team to:
o    Forecast Bookings, Revenue, GM 
o    Reconcile Training Units purchased vs used and book accruals
o    Reconcile Training Units used for Customer Conference, comply with accounting policies for
-    Ability to handle complex subject matter and models, accuracy, attention to detail, adherence to process and calendars, driving deliverables from all different teams are critical requirements for this role

-Ability to work in a project based environment.

-Ability to follow standard accounting and finance practices, and departmental procedures and processes.

-Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

-This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties.

-Limited supervision is provided, as this individual can operate, drive results, and set priorities independently.

-The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.

-To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through leadership and influencing multiple individuals and groups.

-Often acts as mentor or facilitator.

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
