Job Summary

In the role of Finance Manager, you utilize leadership and financial competencies to advise and support Business/Functional Leaders and Senior Finance Leaders by driving financial analysis to support business planning, budgeting, decision making, and performance tracking (both financial and operational metrics).

Your excellent communication skills enable you to present analysis and results to all levels of the organization including senior management. Furthermore, you will proactively work with the G&A Functional Leaders (IT, Workplace Resources, HR, Finance, Legal, or Executive Admin Office) as well as wider Finance organization on continuous improvement initiatives on all relevant processes.

The FP&A Manager is responsible for partnering with senior management to make important strategic and tactical decisions about our ongoing operations and future projects. Specific responsibilities include management of the long range/annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and month-end close cycles, business process development and improvement, financial analytics for decision support, and supporting ad hoc requests from business partners.

Job Requirements

-Develop and manage the planning models and coordination of detailed departmental budgets and forecasts using operational metrics, Hyperion Planning, Excel, and OBIEE/Tableau.

-Assess ROI feasibility and track large capital projects with internal and external partners and vendors.

-Assist in driving industry best practices in forecasting and long range planning processes across G&A functions

-Monitor operational trends and key efficiency/effectiveness metrics, including spending, headcount, capital expenditures/investment, leases, and vendor investment against plan/forecast assumptions.

-Partner with business partners to deliver business insights and drive value relating to investments and other key business metrics

-Ensure monthly financial results are stated accurately and in accordance with GAAP including preparation and posting of journal entries for expense .

-Prepare monthly budgets versus actuals business analysis for presentation to executive management.

 

Education

-5 - 8 years of relevant finance or accounting management experience involving budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and project management.

-Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or related field. MBA is a plus.

-Experience building financial models involving deep business understanding, complex formulas and large data sets is a requirement.

-Experience with systems such as Oracle (ERP), Hyperion and Tableau is beneficial

-Basic understanding of accounting for property, plant, and equipment under U.S. GAAP is preferred
